Sandy's Stories Three

Isn't It Convenient?

Yesterday, I walked in from doing errands to see my buddy and pal, Dawson, sitting on the chair covered from head to two with sticks and burrs caught all in his big, furry body. The first thing I thought is , how could my husband not have noticed this? He must have walked by him more than once. Secondly, where on earth did Dawson get these from? We have an electric fence, I have no clue where he could have gotten them. But let's get back to the original point - how convenient to be able to not see things like this. Now, here is the big lotto question, do some people not see things, like the dirty dishes and dust bunnies OR have they trained themselves, knowing that somebody else will pick up the slack. All I know is I wish I took a picture of what he looked like, there is just no way. Needless to say, it took me an hour of brushing, pulling (and, yes cutting) to even get him halfway decent...my poor little baby. He is one big rag-a-muffin ball of fur but he’s my rag-a-muffin ball of fur. How about you? Are you the person that can walk by and not notice or care how high the dust bunnies pile up? Or are you the one with the dust-buster?

The Intention:

Everyday for as long as I can remember, I read a mission statement and an intention that is not just about my professional goals, but also my personal goals. Most times, Meaghan and I read them to each other to start our day, but if not, we read them to ourselves. I wanted to share just one of them with you which is my intention. I tweak and change it occasionally depending on the month or how I am feeling that day. It has evolved throughout the years, maybe next year could be totally different. I wanted to share this with you in hopes that it will inspire you to make your own and also to remind myself of the importance of doing it everyday. It doesn't have to be as long as mine, it could just be one sentence. It is just a reminder of what you want to put out in the world.

P.S. Remember it doesn't have to be perfect, don’t wait until you are ready to win a pulitzer prize...just start something and keep changing it up until you feel really good inside.

P.S.S. I am going to make a pact today, not just with myself, but also with you that I will make this a priority in my life.

My Intention:

I choose to accept myself and others for where they are on their journey. To spread fun and positivity. To inspire myself and others to realize how powerful they truly are. To live and feel each day like what we want is already happening. To know all things are always working out and without a doubt everything we touch is filled with joy and love. There is unlimited prosperity in all areas of our lives. I spread my message with laughter and opening up people’s minds to all the good in the world and to take action on their dreams. Millions of people are already hearing our message with more to come!
